About

As a parent, there are moments in your life that really matter and affect your child’s success in the future. It has been my experience that the most overwhelming moments that mattered were when I started planning for my children to leave the comfort of home and family. In my opinion, helping your child select, apply, and attend college is the most important moment there is. Helping my children prepare and reach their college goals was extremely challenging and stressful for me. Helping my children while in college was even more challenging.

My career has exposed me to many contacts within the college community and many college students. I started to realize that while I was overwhelmed, my friends, and fellow parents, were downright lost. Over the years, I helped when I could. If a friend asked for guidance, I kindly offered my advice. Not because I am all-knowing, but because I have been through the process, and I realized that the information I do have is more than most parents have. So, I have set out to share what I can. I will bring in some friends to discuss our experiences of raising college-aged children, and some colleagues that can help give some insight and try to help my fellow parents in these moments that matter.
